Some people become fans of Russell Watson the second they hear his voice on a radio station, or see him on television. Others are bought albums or concert tickect as gifts from other fans. Tell us how you discovered 'The Peoples Tenor'.

I discovered Russell whilst I was sitting on the sofa waiting for the men's legs to arrive in the latest international rugby match. It was the pre-match warm-up time, and I suddenly heard this wonderful voice, and looked up and saw Russell. ...Hooked well and truly, and whilst I enjoy other music, to me Russell has got the whole package. |

mine was when watching tfi friday in 2000. its not hte sort of show you expect to hear someone like that singing on. more likey popmusic etc.
Russell was on with sean Ryder singing barcelona, and i thought HEY thats good. so a while later for birthdya or christmas i got a gift voucher for a music store, i saw this Russell Watson album, and remembered he's the guy i saw a while back on TFI. so i used the voucher on the VOICE album, thinking if i dnt like it, it i my money i spent lol. And i DID like it, the rest is history i'm still a fan and last year saw him in concert for the first time. 3 times actually lol |

i was tainted by association! my sister loved russell and my mum had borrowed a russell video from her. my mum was hooked and she made me sit and watch it. i braced myself for the excrutiating pain of music gone wrong, but i was pleasantly surprised. he has a great voice, and my eyes were'nt complaining either! |

I found Russell via my lovely Mum.
Russell was on The Des O'connor show. Mum was watching & called out as Russell got into Volare. I remember dashing into the room & just staring at the screen listening to his fantastic voice. Since then ive been hooked & through Russell have made many great friends on the RWUK Site.
Russell as people have said before & they will go on saying. is truly amazing.

Mine was accidental really! I was round my Grandparents house a few years back with my Dad and my Grandad put the Leeds DVD on the TV. Dad said you like Russell watson don't you to me and I said yeah, not knowing fully who he was, but knowing that he was a good looking singer, so we borrowed The Voice off my Grandad and I was hooked! I loved it, and its still one of my favourite albums! _________________ <div>Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves. Volare I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who watches rugby - just for the LEGS!
I been hooked on Russells music since the first album. When friends and family found out I was bought copies of all his albums everytime my birthday / christmas came around. I used to wonder what I'd ever do with the four or five copies of each I received, but strangely enough, I've only one of each left. Those who borrow them never give them back. |

My first Russell time (like for most other German Russell fans) was when watching the first episode of the latest Star Trek instalment "Enterprise" with my husband... that must have been sometime at the beginning of 2003. I really liked that theme and tried to find out something about the singer. Finally I found some examples of some of his operatic songs on the net, and funnily I thought that there must be a mistake or there has to be a second singer called Russell Watson or whatever. I definitely couldn't imagine that a person really could have such varying vocal colouring (is that a word???). Well, the day I found out that there actually was someone like that I was hooked... and still am |

| Mine was, HO HUM, doing the ironing, then this wonderful voice drifted into the room. Beginning of my Russelling, and what a wonderful pleasure it is to be able to listen to his voice. |

| Ha,ha. The ironing was forgotten very quickly. I am still amazed that a voice could stop me in my tracks, never happened before. |
