Lesley at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre 24 Nov 2007

Tomorrow evening, soprano Lesley Garrett will present a special gala performance featuring Manchester Camerata and special guest Icelandic singer Cortes.

The concert, which sold out in record time, is conducted by Phillip Ellis and features a programme of opera and classical favourites and songs from her new album, When I Fall in Love.

Saw Lesley and Cortes at the Marina Theatre, and it was wonderful. She is so natural and funny.
The evening was enjoyed by all those who attended and the standing ovation at the end meant that all who went enjoyed it.
Loved the frocks, loved Cortes although he did look a bit nervous, an the music was wonderful.
Hope she comes back again soon. Very Happy

I saw the Derby and Manchester concerts. Both were fabulous, but last night, in Manchester, really stood out for me Very Happy

Cortes was magnificent and the audience really loved him. His 'Nessun Dorma' stopped the show, I think. Very Happy

Their duets were lovely - especially You'll Never Walk Alone (a brave choice - to sing that, in Manchester !! Wink
