Blake's debut album is released today and so far the reviews have been quite positive. What do you think of the album? Do you have a favourite amongst their songs, do you prefer the more classical influenced pieces or the ones that are pop based. Let's hear your views on the guys and their album.

In the meantime, here's what some of the critics have to say....

I noticed there are many versions in this album, and I just loved them! Shocked I use to prefer the pop based ones sometimes, but they all have touched me.. the harmony of their voices is great..

E Sara Cosi, Moon River, I Knew I Loved You, In Paradisum, Vide Cor Meum, God Only Knows, Hallelujah, Swing Low, Celebration, Ashokan, Toglimi Il respiro (this should be the next single Razz ), 1492 (i think i've mentioned almost all the songs from the album lol).. it's impossible to choose any favorite ones, as I'd expected before... Rolling Eyes

they really have done great with this album!

I`m quite surprised the album is not higher in the charts (only just in the top 30 according to the midweek charts), it has been advertised on TV lots in our area.

I love the album, I was trying to find some chart positions.

Only just in the top 30 I am very surprised as it deserves to be higher

than that.

it really deserves to be higher, but I saw Stephen saying the album has reached no. 14 in the UK album charts.. i'm pretty sure they're gonna get it into top 10 very soon.. Very Happy

You're quite right, I find it hard to choose a favourite too - what does everyone else think?

The album is listed as 9th best-selling album in the Easy Listening Category on HMV and 18th in the BBC Radio 1 official charts.

Anyone who tuned into Classicfm's Chart Show today will have heard the wonderful news that Blake's debut album has entered the Classical charts at No1. Very Happy

Talking to Mark Forrest on the show Dom said;"It feels great, it's a surprise and we're really pleased and honoured to have got to the number one slot. If you'd have said that to us six months ago I don't think any of us would have believed you, it's been phenomenal and we're really grateful".

Jules said that they had enjoyed working with All Angels, Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe recently at the Festival of Remembrance and hoped to work on some colaborations with them in the future.

Mark asked them to predict how long they would stay at the No1 slot to which Dom replied, "We're there until Christmas boys".

Stephen added,"We're going to do everything we can. We really do like this opportunity that we've had that we can bring you this new type of music, which isn't entirely pop, entirely classical. There's something different about this and I think we're really happy that that's happened."

Congratulations to Stephen,Jules,Dom and Ollie on achieving No1 in the charts and for all their hard work on the album, it's great to see it doing so well. Very Happy

If you missed the show, you can still hear it on ClassicFm's listen again service.

Having got the No1 spot in the Classical Charts, the guys are hoping that the album will also do well in the pop charts. Last week their debut album entered the charts at No 18, but how far will it climb this week?

The following message was posted on the Blake facebook page by group member Jules Knight...
"Thanks everyone for all your interest and support. It's been an amazing experience so far and we feel very honoured to be number one in the classical charts. We worked really hard on the album and we're so glad that people like it. Thanks again, Jules."
