Those of you who have watched Ryan and Dan on TV or read an interview will have heard them talk about their neice, she is the reason for their association with the charity Brain Tumor UK.
About the track - Tears of an Angel
While we were recording our album about 8 or 9 months ago, we got a phone call from Toronto telling us our 3 and a half year old niece has a malignant brain tumor. Obviously, we dropped everything and flew back home to be with her and while we were there we were inspired to write that song, Tears Of An Angel, all about our niece. It's the last track on the album and it sort of closes everything off. Everytime we sing it, we get very emotional as it's a song that is really close to us and we think of our niece everytime.

Sad news

It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform you that our beautiful little 4 year old niece, Tal Doron, passed away at 11:05am on Sunday the 26th of August 2007 after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. She was taken from us at such an early age, but her strength and her courage will remain in our memories for the rest of our lives. She is deeply missed. Rest in peace. We love you angel.

Oh that is So sad. I hate how cancer can take away children so young.
Rest in Peace Tal, and look down upon your Uncles whenever they sing Your song. |

What an awful, tragic loss for the whole family. As you said Rainy, it is heartbreaking to see cancer claim the lives of those so young and full of life.
This little girl was obviously very deeply loved and inspired many people in her short time here though. May she rest in painfree peace and her memory live on in her uncle's songs and hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Ryan and Dan. My heart goes out to you and all of your family. Tal was a very special little girl and will never be forgotten.
