How exciting!!!! I can just see him in the role! His great sense of humour will be perfect for it!!! I shall definitely go to that!! And take my boys too!! They love the film! I have the songs in my head already!
Is the Millennium Centre in Cardif? Does anyone know how far that is from Brecon?
Can't wait!!

| thanks for that Xcept! Very useful indeed!! It will be great to see Aled doing something like this! I wonder if he is excited about it? I wonder how many performances Emilia and Lucas wil want to go to? All of them? Unless of course they don't like the child catcher! |

A few more little details in the 'South Wales Echo'
Chitty flies into town
Aled Jones will star in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when the record-breaking production arrives at Wales Millennium Centre next summer.
The musical, based on the classic children’s film, is the longest-running show in West End history and has recently been nominated for five Tony awards having opened on Broadway.
It is currently on a UK tour but Wales Millennium Centre has secured a casting coup in persuading one of Wales’ most famous voices to get on board the flying car for a two-month run from July 3 to August 30 next year.
“It’s going to be here for more than 60 performances which will make it the longest running production we have ever staged,” said WMC’s programming director Fiona Allan.
“It’s such a big production that it takes 10 days just to get everything inside the building so that the car can fly.
“It’s touring the country at the moment but we have a secret weapon in that Aled Jones has agreed to be in it exclusively for the Cardiff season.”
Tickets for the show will cost £10-£39.50 and go on sale on September 1.
