Vera Lynn will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception

The Imperial War Museum is hosting a reception on Tuesday (20th March 07) to mark the 90th birthday of Forces Sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn.
Dame Vera, who kept up the spirits of millions with her songs and personality during the darkest days of the Second World War, will attend the lunchtime gathering in London along with a number of entertainers and war veterans.

Current Forces Sweetheart Katherine Jenkins will perform wartime hits including We'll Meet Again and The White Cliffs Of Dover and lead a chorus of Happy Birthday for Dame Vera.
