Dear MF Buddies...

Mario sang this song Core N'grato in one of his tours with the
Moscow New Opera and Symphony Orchestra several years ago. He did
perform several arias as well during the course of his career.

In one of our conversations, he made mention of recording classical
songs (arias)in the near future and Christmas songs with the Vienna
Boys Choir. He also explained to me that the SID was initially
planned to be all ARIA SONGS but SONY did not believe it would sell
(at that time) hence the resultant product was a hybrid...classical
crossover.

However, this summer, he is contemplating on recording light Italian
songs (Tosti, Neapolitan..etc) to celebrate his 10th Anniversary
performing at the historical/ancient theater the Herodion. There is
a possibility he'd film it as well. He would be accompanied by the
Ossipov Plucked Strings Orchestra of Russia. And...is thinking of
singing three very beautiful songs made famous by Claudio Villa in
the mid '50s (all three of them won the first prize at the Sanremo
festival). They are "Son tutte belle le mamme del mondo" (All the
mothers in the world are beautiful), "Una semplice canzone da due
soldi" (a simple two-penny song) and "Buongiorno tristezza" (Good
morning sadness.)

Let's pray all Mario's dreams/aspirations/goals this year would
happen.

Thanks and have a pleasant night everybody.

Love,
Josy

thanks very much Josy. Very Happy I love Mario's classical crossover, but would love an album of arias, and Christmas songs with the Vienna Boys Choir - what a treat. Very Happy
