As Xcept has explained in a previous post,
| Quote: |
We have to be selective, those we are adding will be introduced a few at a time - taking some time to appreciate the ones we have here now is the first priority. I love that everyone is enthusiasic about the introduction of others though.
|
The process of selecting artists is not a simple one for us - to start a new artist page involves a lot of work and dedication from the admins to maintain it. That said we are always interested in WHO tickles your fancy, so please continue to submit your favourites via the 'SUBMIT an artist' facility at the top of the page (dropdown).
Xcept is held with the responsibilty of vetting each artist and will also decide wether they make it on to the site. We will endeavour to do this process as quickly as possible - but please bare with us Not all artists will make it (our decision is final and is not up for discussion), but those that do will have our full support.
Can I also draw your attention to the 'XFAQS' ClassicalX's frequently asked questions (button on the homepage lower right) - we operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. This is to maintain friendly and level forums for ALL to enjoy. We all have opinions and should be respected for them as we should respect others for theirs (no one is exempt from moderation should their feelings run away with them).
ClassicalX is or will be everything you want and need from this kind of site in time.
Thank you. |

Thanks Boss,
i read the Xfaqs, very good they are too. glad of Zero Tolerance, want to keep this a happy site. so if people dont like certain artists on here all they have to do is just not go on that particular forum.
So far i'm interested in all acts and am considering spending my wages on the acts cd's that i havent (YET) got
btw when suggesting an artist, do we need to know there OS for them to be considered by xcept, or is this just to give her a helping hand? |

Yes, Faramir here and I would like to know if this is the spot where you can
tell you about a new artist or if it is somewhere else The artist's name is Nick Garrett former bass/baritone for Amici Forever and who was the one who did all the vocal arrangements for their cd Defined. He decided to go out on his own and it
doing a fabulous job of showing just how talented he is. Not only is the greatest Bass\Baritone of our time, he is also a composur and conductor as well and at this time is staring in a opera. He conducts choirs, orchestra's and just about everything else there is to do in music. He is more than worthy to be on your list
classicalx Artists. I do hope that you will consider him for addition to your prestigious list of great singers. |

Hi there,
I wanted to let you know that the "submit an Artist" feature is not working. After I filled in all the necessary fields, I get an error message telling me to include a message, which I had previously already done. Is this because I am on a Mac?
I wanted to share with you an exciting new classical crossover artist from Australia called Kane Alexander. He recently supported IL DIVO on their national tour and was simply AMAZING! He has a voice to die for, somewhere in between Josh Groban and Ronan Keating - a real mix of classical and pop! I'm sure the other ClassicalX members would love to be made aware of Kane and his new album through Sony BMG, and you can listen to previews of his album on his website www.kanealexander.com
Happy listening!

Hi ozboy6, we have tested the 'suggest an artist' facility and all seems OK, it will not be because you are on a MAC - must have just been a glitch.
Thank you for your suggestion |

Hi I have been posting heaps about Kane Alexander over in the General Chat section, on here, so if you go and read there, you can find out more about this amazing artist. I have known of him for three years or so and was just absolutely dying for his album to come out. It was released here in Australia on April 29 (my birthday)- so needless to say with my birthday money, I quickly ran to the shops and made my purchase. This album is so full of wonderful songs and I am so happy that he finally has made an album.
I saw him too performing before Il Divo here in Melbourne and I was so excited to learn of him being support act. Not that I don't love Hayley Westenra ( because I do).
He is an Australian guy- 27 years old, background in musical theatre and he is from Victoria- from a town outside of Swan Hill in Northern Victoria.
He came down at age 14 from the country, to study at the Victorian Arts Centre here in Melbourne- both voice and drama- he has in the past had a few guest spots on tv- the most recent one being on the recently axed police drama here in Australia- Blue Heelers- about a month ago Kane appeared on there.
Just last night, our Footy shows (Australian Rules and National Rugby League) shows, headed over to Germany to Munich and presented a Footy Show spectacular from the Prinz Regent Theatre and Kane performed his stunning duet with Tina Arena "Timeless". I adore this song and I would love to see it released here right now, I am so sure it would be a massive hit for them both.
