Rugby match Aus V England- Sun night-Oz tv, anthem oz perfor

Not the title I wanted to give in the subject matter, but on Sunday evening June 11,(Australian tv time) the young man who will be performing the Australian National anthem, I wanted to draw your attention to him, his name is Daniel Belle and he was from Australian idol series 2. He is a classically trained singer and he has returned to his musical theatre studies at uni in Sydney and is doing very well acc to his dad. I have met Daniel on three occasions now and he is a lovely young man, just turned 23 last month and the last time I saw him perform, which was last August down here in Melbourne, his voice had matured greatly from the time he spent on Australian Idol series 2. Very Happy

It is confirmed that he will be performing the Australian National anthem, accompanied by a few harmony singers- the match is on Channel 7 at 7.30pm for Australian viewers, but they would need to check their guides, because of time differences in different parts of Oz. The match begins at 8pm,so Dan will be singing before that time. A brilliant voice this young man has, last time I saw him, he gave me goosebumps. I hope this is the start of a great future for Dan. I know he is looking forward to Sunday evening very much. Very Happy

The match will be telecast in the UK too, so it will be a big audience for Daniel, both at the stadium, here in Aus and of course in the UK, not sure about it being telecast in any other countries. It is from Telstra Stadium in Sydney.

Dan did an awesome performance of the Australian National anthem, I hope some of you here got to hear it- is anyone a Rugby fan here ( I am not, but I just watched the telecast firstly to see Dan perform and then I decided I would watch the whole lot of it. I didn't mind it at all, but it would never replace Australian Rules for me.

Go the Wallabies. Go Dan ( I am so proud of you).
