A lovely interview, starting at about 1 hour and 20 minutes into the Richard Lewis programme. Among other things, Aled was taking about this coming weekend and the concert in Bristol, and his dread at seeing 40 of us at the concert, but what fun we all are deep down! It was also clear how busy he is - after Bristol he has to get up to Manchester (quite a journey and he won't get away until after 10.00 I guess!) and then to be in the studios there by 5.30 am and to be at Chester for SOP in the evening. At the minute he is happily sunbathing! (his colouring and he will be pretty red! but he said he spends so many hours in a studio, he is glad to get out in the sun when he can!)

Aled also said another CD should be coming out next March - they are just considering the contents now - he has a meeting about it later today.

Unfortunately it does not appear to be on listen again.

I just felt I should add, this concert will be different from the Aled on tour ones, as it is with Filton Male Voice Choir, Llanelli Male Choir, The New Harmony Ladies Choir (Bristol) and organist Simon Lole, but apparently Aled has agreed to sing 8 songs (the usual number is 6 in a concert like this). I will try and do my usual review / report afterwards. Much as I am sure he would love to stay and see us afterwards (??!) I guess he will have to head off very quickly to get to Manchester to get a couple of hours sleep before the alarm at 5.00 am.

We shall all be wearing a special something, and take up the first 2 rows anyway, so he can't miss us, and I am sure some specific, spicey comments will be made, especially if we get a little too noisy and enthusiastic! But when the e-mail was read out telling him that 40 of us would be there, he said: "you should see my face now, I know the members of my forum very well and they are really great people" So it seems we are appreciated! Whether he will feel the same afterwards, who knows?!

Roll on Saturday! Incidentally, I know Brina will be there also, and maybe others from here.
