I've just read that Brina is running the Chester Half Marathon at the end of May(21st) for Aled's Friends of Hope House charity.
It's a good opportunity for anyone who wants to support the charity to offer sponsorship.
Good luck Brina - you're a brave woman - I couldn't walk that distance in a decent time never mind run it |

Hi xcept,
Thanks for posting about this - I'm not sure about brave - mad I think is more appropriate! I'm training hard as I can only run about 2 miles at the moment and have just under 7 weeks to go!
Any sponsorship would be very much appreciated and gratefully received, and the more money that can be raised for Hope House the better as they are a wonderful charity (a children's hospice in N. Wales). Please send me a private message if you want to know more

Just thought I'd update this again as there's now less than 3 weeks to go!
The training is going well at the moment and I can't wait to actually go and run the real thing.
I'll let you know how it all goes in due course |

This time next week Brina will be running her Chester half marathon in aid of Aled's charity, Hope House. She's worked really hard for it, and for various reasons it has not been easy for her, but 2 days ago she had managed 10 miles and is determinded to finish.
I hope I speak for everyone on classicalx when I say - all the best - Go, Brina, Go! And tell us about it afterwards.

Thanks xbons - yes next only a week to go and I can't wait! It's come round very quickly but I'm sure it will be a fabulous day and lots of money will be raised for Hope House which is the most important thing. I'll post afterwards (when I've recovered) and tell you all how it went. |

All best wishes to Brina (and co-Aleder Amy) for tomorrow. Forecast is light rain but that doesn't sound too bad. Have a great time girls, get to that finishing line together and raise lots of money!!

Brina and Amy have made it - in spite of atrocious weather. Great going girls.
And Aled wished them good luck on his radio show this morning (which they didn't actually hear, as they were getting ready, but knew about and will listen in to this evening). Good on you Aled!
They are 2 brave ladies with a lot of guts.

Thanks xbons - sorry it's taken so long to reply - this last week has just run away with me! Yes the weather was horrible but we got round in 3hrs and 5mins - we came in last but it was such a big achievement that we didn't mind too much and we have also raised a significant amount for Hope House. I'm really glad we did it and I'm already thinking about the possibility of doing another one (although not just yet!) |
