Thanks for that information as was going to try and find it over the weekend. I wrote in a letter which is being published on the letters page they've informed me and sent me a prize too. It will be good to see something I wrote officially in print and a 'first' I can tell you.
What's it about you are all asking? They got some information badly askew about Nick and Amici's album, not giving credit where it was due to Nick (Garrett) and saying that Amici had recorded Defined without him. That was not the case as anyone who admires Nick knows and anyone else whose already got the CD can hear for themselves. He produced the arrangements for the whole album and for their voices and his voice is 100% all over it. Difficult to even imagine those pieces without him or even sung by anyone else. Sometimes the press get it wrong and this was one of those as they were mis-informed themselves it appears - although you'd think they'd check facts before printing articles. They are at least putting it right as it was really mis-leading too for their readers of which I am one. It's a good magazine.
There are some shots on this site some with him in the picture and some without - a case of now you see him, now you don't! No criticism of classicalx as everywhere you look he's there and then blink and he's not.
As I said in another post Amici would not be Amici without the work Nick has done. If they do another album that's another thing but not to credit him from the one he's done and to remove his picture from the sleeve too was pretty bad form and shabby. Most unimpresive and dis-respectful too.

Just read your letter Jack, the Editor has responded
"Amici Forever's management company have issued us a correction stating that Defined was indeed recorded with Nick Garrett"
Well done, I like to see the press do a turnaround!!!! |

Russell will be in the June issue of Classical FM magazine, an article and pic of Russell in middle of two other tenors, Boceli and Vittorio. THe pic of Russell in the middle is the same as from the one in the April issue of Classical FM mag. There is also an article, along with the chart, Russell Ultimate Album at no. 1....I won't get in USA till last week of May. Sure does come out early in the UK!!!!!.....I saw this on one of the other Russell sites. |

My screen keeps bouncing, the article is hard to read, but one thing I can read is that Russell should be used to number ones after Just The Two of Us!!! |

I shall try and get mine in Tesco tomorrow, but they didn't have any when he was on the front cover. Obviously, that was a popular issue |
