That is one of my very favourites, C'e Sempre Musica is one that I always have to play twice, goose bumbs. Then out of all Russells songs, if I had to pick a real favourite it would be Che Gelida Mania, Russell does it so well that he leaves me breathless when he finishes, and I don't want it to finish so it is repeated so many times. Very Happy

Ok, I'm feeling the 'Miserere' is great at the moment. I will have to stick to that song. It's the most fantastic arrangement I have ever heard for that one. I thought it was a boring undramatic song. In comes Russell Smile

when I first heard Miserere when i bought the Voice album , i listened to it and was constantly looking through the cover sleeve to find out who he was singing with, I couldnt believe that soft voice and the deep booming voice came from the same guy. Embarassed

I so agree. Listening to Russell's rendition just gives me goosebumps. I never tire of hearing it. He gives it a new beauty and feeling.

I think I would have done the same if it was my first album of his, but I knew what both of his techniques sounded like so knew they were both from him. Smile He has such a dreamy pop voice and a booming beautiful operatic voice. Ah, he has it all Smile

Difficult to choose, but I think Va pensiero, from Encore, I think from the gentle start, then the Power of "The Voice", Goosebumps every time Rolling Eyes

It is very difficult to choose as I love most of them. I think Che Gelida Mania and Mattinata. I also play Va Pensiero a lot. I like some of his pop songs but nothing beats his beautiful tenor voice. I'm rather disapppointed lately that he seems to be concentrating more on easy listening type songs than classical.

One of my most favorite Russell songs is Nobody Does it Better.
Then I'd pick Miserere because it was the first thing I heard Russell sing about 5 years ago, close behind that is Nella Fantasia. Very Happy

Nella Fantasia is one of my favorites because it was the very first song I heard Russell sing - the strings are just beautiful and then those top notes - PHEW! As far as a pop song goes - Music of the Night does it for me.

Yes I so agree Kim. I find it hard to choose my favourites, I have so many. I keep listening to 'I don't know why'. I think it's wonderful...so haunting. A song that is quite simplistic, but when sung by Russell.. well it goes into another dimension. Very Happy

Immenso Sogno is another one of my very fav's. The man can just go on and on, and I love every one of them.

I have to say that with being a newby to this type of music, I find my taste chaning all the time. I play the Ultimate Collection every day and my first favourite was Volare, love to watch Russell dance on the DVD of The Voice in Auckland.

Then then the next time it was Nella Fantasia. However, at present it's I Have Nothing, possibly because it's more up tempo and I do like Russell doing up tempo tracks, also It's Been a Long Road, the track from Enterprise, now that is superb, I like the gravelly sound of his voice, very sexy and just makes me weak.

Nella Fantasia is definitely one of my very favorites as it is first song I heard Russell sing when friends gave me THE VOICE for my birthday. On the pop side, I love I HAVE NOTHING and I DON'T KNOW WHY. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
