Nick is set to star in Opera Holland Park's production of Fantastic Mr Fox...you've seen the film, you've read the book and now with your help, you can see the opera!

A mini-syndicate has been put together to raise money to help fund the costs of OHP’s new and exciting INSPIRE project, the European premiere of the opera Fantastic Mr Fox.

OHP plan to stage Fantastic Mr Fox in the magical surroundings of the Yucca Lawn in Holland Park. The Roald Dahl Foundation is extremely enthusiastic, working closely with OHP and offering great support, but we need your generosity to make this take flight.

This production, a small scale enchanting piece aimed at families and children, will feature some of our favourite performers and will be directed by Stephen Barlow (Tosca, 2007, Hansel und Gretel, 2009, Don Giovanni, 2010) and will star Nicholas Garrett, the leading man in this season’s Don Giovanni. Members of the City of London Sinfonia will accompany the performances.

We have recently launched an enormously successful production syndicate for La forza del destino. For Fantastic Mr Fox we are launching a ‘mini’ syndicate, making it affordable for many more people to contribute to giving life to this exciting event. With INSPIRE, we are bringing thousands of young people and novices to the world of opera; thisproduction is the perfect way for our children to experience opera through a story many of them will know and love.

To join you can donate an amount of your choice, either named or anonymous. There are thousands of OHP supporters so we do not need much from each. Giving just £5 will help OHP produce Fantastic Mr Fox and give you the chance to bring family and friends of all ages to Opera Holland Park in the summer to enjoy a great afternoon of music and entertainment. Ticket prices of around £2.50 for children will also be made possible through your generous support. Donations over £5 are of course very welcome too!

All who become involved as mini-syndicate members will receive priority booking for this production. Please note that if you choose to remain anonymous on the JustGiving website you will need to contact usThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you did donate to this project as part of the mini syndicate, you should receive an email in the next day or two with a priority booking form for tickets.

Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children with a £2.50 admin fee.

This is a great opportunity for young children to experience opera at an early age and I hope many of you will be tempted by the low ticket price along with the names attached to the project - and book to see this event. Smile
