I received my copy of the DVD recently and have been re-watching some of the great performances of the evening, including Blake singing Up Where We Belong. Despite being a pop song, it compliments the evening well, especially as it follows a poem read by William Roache.
There's also a nice tribute to those involved in current conflicts from Dom, who has friends serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
I enjoy watching the festival every year but I think this particular festival was especially wonderful - featuring so many of our Classicalx artists too.

Thanks for informing us of the release of this DVD Xantha, it is incredibly emotional to watch... especially when you think of the thousand of soldiers who have lost their lives and the thousands more still fighting.

Blake are a particular highlight and of course the lovely ladies of the War Widows. Makes you very proud to be British.
