Well this is how Radio Times have done it - sounds very good to me

Last Choir Standing Results
Sunday 03 August
9:30pm - 10:00pm

Myleene Klass and Nick Knowles host the search for Britain's best choir. The three remaining choirs sing again to convince the judges they deserve a place in the knockout stages. Plus a performance from former G4 tenor Jonathan Ansell.

Lucky Natalie getting to hear Jonathan sing Barcelona twice.
After reading her review with talk of the thunderous applause I can't wait to hear it.
I was very surprised that Jonathan chose to sing this after having such a wonderful success with G4.
Their version will go down in the anals of music history for me, but I'm very intrigued and looking forward to hearing Jonathan's version. |

Jonathan is now singing ND and people said the same thing about that and G4. So cannot see it makes a difference with Barcelona. They both belonged to someone else before G4 took up with them - Queen being the last one, and you don't get more controversial than that. All songs are out there to be sung by who ever wishes to - and Jonathans voice was outstanding in Barcelona . His voice has changed so much, this applies to his now version of ND which is far more powerful - I checked an old recording last night, very different.
Better go and watch the second part of LCS.

Really love Revelation They are so good. First time anybody reduced me to tears with music since G4
Both soloists for the first song and the second one were phonomenum, and yet, the choir did not end up as backing singer. Each of them were enjoying so much, love their smiles, and they have great personality too. Loved Amazing Grace tonight. I would not say it was second to G4. They are different and both are just as excellent
Would it be great, if they sing 'Down in the River to Pray' with Jonathan? They will give a new life to the song, and make it even better |

My favourite at the moment is Revelation, they are so enjoying what they do, I just wish that the judges would have a bit more to say,
Looking forward to next sunday, when Jonathan is singing, |

Did 'handbag' remind us certain fans? especially when we saw some feathers dropped behind on their track |

My favourite choir so far has been Only Men Aloud - I'm a huge fan of Male Voice Choirs - and it's great to see young men bringing a modern touch to the traditional male voice choirs.
I might be biased (being Welsh) but personally I think the welsh men do Male Voice choirs better than any other nationality!
Its something to do with the "lilt" of the welsh speaking voice I think.
I loved the Hereford Police Choir though - thought their rendition of the Perry Como medley was superb - exactly what "choir" means to me.
I'm so looking forward to hearing Jonathan do Barcelona on Sunday.
I wont be comparing him in anyway to G4's version - as someone said earlier in the thread - all songs belonged to someone else before and they are all there to be sung in different ways by different singers.
I loved G4's Nessun Dorma - but I love Jonathan singing it solo too. His version at Petworth Proms was beautiful. Pavarotti was the master tenor at ND - but every singer brings something different to their own version and it's lovely to hear those differences.

| Loving the show so far...can't wait for Jon's appearance on it!! The choirs have been good so far..liked Revelation's version of AG and Sense of sound is amongst my faves too....would have like dreemz and last minute to go through, but it always seems to be the last chance songs that will either a guaranteed winner or disaster for a group!! |
