Post subject: Aled's July appearances
Well. Aled is in Cardiff now - getting ready for Chitty, opening on Thursday.
But somehow, except for this coming Sunday, when they have let him off
, he is keeping going with "Good Morning Sunday" and "The Choir"

Friday 4th:

Saturday 5th:

Sunday 6th
* Good Morning Sunday: BBC radio 2: 7.00 – 9.00: Roger Royle sits in for Aled Jones and talks to lyricist and songwriter Richard Stilgoe. While author Kate Saunders talks about some of the issues of the week from a faith perspective.
* Songs of Praise: BBC1: 6.25 - 7.00 (or could be moved to BBC2 or the time be moved if the men's singles final overuns): Aled singing "Make Me Channel of your Peace"
* The Choir: BBC radio 3: 6.30 – 8.00 Just who is the greatest choral composer? Singing guru and recent guest on The Choir, Terry Edwards, has a suggestion. He rates Richard Wagner above all others. It's a surprising idea as many people wouldn't consider him a choral composer at all. Terry is passionate about his choice, though, and has the musical examples to prove it. So, Aled has invited him back on the show to put Wagner in the choral spotlight.
Also in the programme, Aled quizzes Mary King about her VoiceLab project at London's Southbank Centre and catches up with the latest news from the BBC Radio 3's Choir of the Year competition. Aled reveals the best 24 groups to go through to the category finals of the Choir Of The Year. Judge Stuart Barr is in the studio with Aled to reveal the results.

Goodness me he's busy! He's going to be exhausted after performing in Chitty and still fitting in his radio shows! x

You are very right, xaria - Good Morning Sunday was from Manchester this last Sunday, so he must have done the two Chitty shows Saturday and then been driven to Manchester from Cardiff (hardly a short distance!) to be in the studio at 6.00am, to do GMS.
He's a hard worker! And always comes out smiling!
