Meeting Nick Garrett question

Hi all.

I just wanted to know what is Nick Garrett like when you meet him, as i am quite a shy person when i meet new people.

In answer to your question, based on my own experience, Nick is a lovely guy to meet. The first time I met him, I was rather shy and didn't say much but he made up for that and talked away without any awkwardness.He has quite a dry sense of humour which you may not get to see immediately, but he is incredibly funny and enjoys having a good laugh - even if its at his own expense.
He is also a really caring guy and always takes time to meet his fans when they go to a concert or opera. He remembers the tiniest details about them too and things that you've said to him. He has encouraged many of his fans to learn more about operas and even given them recommendations and loves to hear what you thought about them afterwards. He is a complete professional but also a genuinely friendly,funny guy.

When are you going to meet him?

Hi Isobel, welcome to the Nick Garrett forum!
I had a chance to see Nick perform last year and this year which is not easy for me due to where I live. He was wonderful and took time to meet up after the shows.
Nick is very charming and has a great sense of humor.
He is a gentleman who will make you feel quiet comfortable, so don't worry about being shy. And he seems to have a great memory and remembers quiet well who he's met before.
When you go to one of his performances, just go and introduce yourself to Nick after the show. He always loves to meet new friends.

hi all.

I am not going to meet nick, i just wondered what he is like.

If i did meet him though, i would be absolutely terrified as i am a blind person, i have been so since birth, and wouldn't have a clue how he would approach me.

When i meet someone for the first time, i always hold their hand so that i can maintain a central point of contact when talking to them, it isn't be being personal, it is just what i like doing as it helps me to relax around them.

Hope you don't mind me saying, music sounds the same, blind or not.
Nick is a handsome bloke but it's his voice that matters to his fans most!
He does have the wonderful ability to convey emotions with his music.
But of course you already know that.
Keep enjoying the sound and if someday you do get to say hi, no need to be terrified - aside from having a greatly enjoyable talent, he does put his trousers on the same way we all do, pretty much one leg at a time!!

Everytime I've met Nick he's been lovely. Like Xantha said, he remembers even little details about you. the first time I met him I was so incredibly shy - as I always am when I meet new people - but he was so easy-going I almost forgot that he was a famous singer! x
