I saw that in my Radio Times - and I thought - "is that our Aled"....so pleased it is. I shall try and watch every morning. Smile

I've managed to catch the programme a couple of times this week and have enjoyed Aled's contributions to the shows. I've laughed at his cheeky comments but also appreciated the insight into his character that you got with some of his more serious remarks. Whilst I have always admired Aled as a singer, it's seeing him on shows like this that you get to appreciate how genuine a guy he really is.It's reassuring to see that despite the phenomenal success he has enjoyed with his career, he hasn't let it go to his head and that he has the same concerns as the rest of us regarding current affairs and is very well informed on the various issues.

Well, I made it this morning, thoroughly enjoyed the show as ever. Aled was his usual self, as xantha says, funny as ever, but serious when appropriate. You've summed him up well, xantha! Very Happy

Earlier in the week, one of the discusions for the panel was "Should parents share their politics with their kids". Aled said that his parents never talked of politics with him and then added that they had taught him "love, morals, kindness, all the things that politicians can't". I could not help but think what a good job they did on those scores - the words epitomise him in my opinion. At the end today, I thought they would say a thank you to the girl who has stood in as the "Babe in the booth" for this week, Phina Orich, but nothing was said. And then I noticed that the only person to go over to the booth as the panel left, to say thank you and goodbye, was Aled.

As you say, xantha , it is wonderful to see a grown up child star with his feet so firmly on the ground, so totally unspoilt, and so genuine and friendly to all. I shall miss him on The Wright Stuff next week - a good thing the videos are up on the fanclub to watch again! Laughing
