I just got a new computer and I would like to know when you download music and video's dos it take up the hard drive or is it the graphic card it takes the space of.

As far as I know it's hard drive space that it takes up.

Usually songs are only about 3-8MB, so you can create a decent collection before you run out of space!! Videos completely depend on ho long/complex they are, I think.

A "computer person" should probably confirm this before you believe it!

Correct Lucy. Audio / Video files only take up hard drive space - video memory is only used when you are using the files.
