DEFEAT AUTISM NOW CONFERENCE

With April being World Autism Awareness month, Geoff and Simone are delighted to be spending five days over in Philadelphia, attending the incredibly inspiring and informative "Defeat Autism Now" Conference.

The conference devotes its agenda to teaching parents and practitioners how nutrition, intestinal disorders, detoxification, and other metabolic issues impact behaviour, attention, speech and the general health of children on the autism spectrum. The schedule also provides enlightening workshops, presentations and seminars for families affected by the Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Although having only just arrived at the conference, both Geoff and Simone agreed that "it's awesome already!"

It's great to see that despite what must be quite a busy time for Geoff, he is still able to help out with such a worthy cause. I know that he has a special interest in raising awareness of Autism because of his daughter and I hope that the conference will be of benefit to many people.

Indeed xantha, in spite of the excitement surrounding the upcoming album launch the conference meant a great deal to Geoff and Sim. Speaking to them earlier it has certainly been an exhausting, but incredibly enlightening and inspiring trip for them both!

I taught autistic children for a year, xena, two terms in the nursery and one with the school leavers. I have nothing but admiration for the parents of autistic children, who need such patience to balance the needs / demands of their autistic child and the needs of the rest of the family. The parents get such support from being with and talking to parents of other autistic children, and sharing experiences and ideas.

I am not surprised Geoff and Simone found it worthwhile going in spite of a busy schedule! I can only wish them the best for the future.
