| Aled wil be on the Alan Titchmarsh show tomorrow, Thursday; the show was recorded yesterday, Tuesday. I imagine he will be talking about the 'Good Morning Sunday' album, which appears to be doing quite well! (no 9 in the album charts I understand) |

Hi Lyndsey
Todd, on the fanclub says:
"According to Alan Titchmarsh, who said this at the end of todays programme, Aled will be having a chat and singing on tomorrows programme"
So singing too - I wonder what? If it is indeed to do with the Good Morning Sunday CD, it could be "You Raise Me Up". We shall see!

I thought Aled gave a lovely rendition of "You raise me up" yesterday. I like the song very much and it seems to be a very popular song to cover judging by the number of artists that have recorded a version of it.
Aled's version though, seemed much more natural than some of the others I have heard and I really enjoyed it.
It was also good seeing him chat to Alan in the various segments of the show as you got to see what a cheeky sense of humour he has. |

Hi xantha,
Glad you enjoyed it! I've uploaded the interview; as you say, Aled always makes me (and others) laugh!
I'll comment on the song and upload that later

I thought Aled's version of You Raise Me Up was the best I have heard. He has such a lovely voice - and he was excellent with Alan - I thoroughly enjoyed him on the show.

I've now uploaded Aled's original version of "You Raise me Up" and the version sung on the AT show, so you can compare!
On the AT show they clearly used the original as a backing (I saw no members of Libera on stage! nor Joe Platt, or another treble as Joe's voice has broken!) but it was equally clear that Dom on the piano and Aled's Angels on the strings were adding to the original.
I'm glad you felt Aled's version of the song was the best you have heard, Molly - so many people say that! |
