Hi - are there any other fans of the violinist David Garrett on here. I've received a couple of e-mails about him recently and I have to say that I find his style of playing very exciting. I saw this video on the classics and jazz website - http://zaphod.uk.vvhp.net/v-v/080311170819 - and thought it looked great.

I was lucky enough to see David perform a couple of weeks ago when he appeared at the Hard Rock Cafe in London supporting Jonathan Ansell. I must admit I was very impressed with his playing. The only other time I have heard him is on a couple of tracks on Jonathan's album. I will also get to see him again at the Classical Brits. A very talented guy to keep an eye on in the future.

He is not only a brilliant violinist but a joy to watch. I am very interested in buying his album when it's released next week.

I see xcept, you are up to your old tricks and starting to dangle a carrot in front of my nose again!! I hope it means what I think it means!! Laughing Laughing Shall I start drumming my fingers?!! Rolling Eyes

As Artist Supporter for one of the Garretts on here, I have to agree with you Smile They are a talented bunch.
I will be getting a copy of David's CD when it is released - I am looking forward to hearing it after hearing a few clips of his work.

There are lots of David Garrett fans throughout the world.

Those of us who have had the wonderful pleasure of hearing him and seeing him perform are totally captivated.

He's due to be on Breakfast TV on Monday morning (Easter Monday) and later in the week, on Friday afternoon with Kay Burley on Sky.

There is a particularly informative website, run from Germany but extremely welcoming to British fans, at

www.david-garrett.info

This is well worth checking out

And so is his CD, "Virtuoso" released in the UK on Monday
