Jonathan at RHS Chelsea Flower Show - cancelled

Well I dont know if it's true to say it's been Cancelled as such.

We dont really know if it was ever truly on the cards - as there has been no info about it on the Official list of appearances on Jonathans site. The info was taken from the CFS website - but it may have been something that was going to happen.......... but was changed before ever becoming a certainty.

Hopefully we will get some information about it at some point.

Why would CFS mention about him being there they would of said he may appear or say no names say theres chance we will have known tenor --no promises

It sounds as though this appearance was cancelled some time ago,if that is correct I think that the CFS site should have withdrawn his name ,and then people would have known he was not appearing,it was not on the OS
official list, Its such a shame for the people who have travelled to see him.

Wondering about Marble Hill event now as it's not on the OS, but is on the Marble Hill events listing for 23rd August.

Ruth on the OS has tried ringing Marble Hill events who know nothing about who is appearing and passed her onto Classic FM who are running the show and in turn they know nothing and have passed her back to Marble Hill events

I know a few people already have tickets for this one too Rolling Eyes

It's such a shame that this appearance never got off the ground. It would have been such a great venue for Jonathan - I can only think that something else must have come up that was more important for him to do - Im sure he would have taken advantage of the opportunity to sing at the CFS had he been able.

It was very remiss of the RHS site not to update it and take Jonathan off - but I hope people wont be put off booking up for other concerts - I'm sure this was a one off thing where the site just overlooked updating the information and I guess if things dont appear on the OS its best to try and check the day before going.

I feel so sorry for those who made the effort to go to this. As Molly has said, it would have been a great opportunity for Jonathan to make new fans etc but obviously it wasn't meant to be.

CFS really should have updated their site when the plans had changed Mad

I wonder why there was a change of heart about this one in the first place??? Confused

It must have been considered and thought not viable. Perhaps Jonathan couldn't fit it in with everything else he is up to at the moment maybe?

Bad luck to those who went to see Jon perform at this..hope the day wasn't too spoilt for you all (the weather held out anyway)!! Roll on June 5th, I say..plenty of 'jon' then to see and hear too!! Wink

Well I think what Soo's lovely pics show is theres no way Jonathan would have missed that event-no way ...it must have been something beyond his control I think that he failed to show

My guess is-
-either work came up that Jonathan simply could not turn down.
-he was unwell
-or his appearance was cancelled by the CFS (why they would want to do such a thing I can't think)
-Was there any other Universal artists appearing that day?
