I don't think so Nicola, but I think Russell seizes every opportunity to go to that part of the world. He obviously has an affinity to places like NZ and Australia. Understandably too.
By the way I was born in Watford.......... ......blank years ago I don't think that's too far from Borehamwood is it? |

No, watford is a bus from me
He always seems to be in New Zealand and doing concerts in New Zealand and a lot of his fans seem to be Kiwis and his fourthcoming concerts are in New Zealand. I hope you get my point |

Nicola-
Russell's management schedules Oz and NZ into his tour itineraries because of the high CD sales to population ratio for these countries - in other words - he's really popular here!

I have been to four of his OZ concerts and all of them have been sellouts. Russell is so populer here, not many people don't know about him. |

| I went to the Sydney (1) and Perth concerts last May, and they were a sell-out. They were just fabulous and I loved meeting all the Russell girls in Sydney. Russell has done quite a bit of promo work in Australia too. After the Aussie and New Zealand concerts, he had a few days off in Australia and was interviewed by Kerry-Anne (Ch.9). He commented on how well his "downunder" tour had gone and I think he said he was surprised that so many people knew of him because Australia and New Zealand were just about the furtherest point from the UK. |

Trish was right when she said I had discovered the world'sbest tenor.
My husband(now deceased) agreed with me .
I belonged to the PBS channel where Russell was performing at the Trump Taj Mahal, and just turned it on through curiosity,
And as most Russell fans say"the rest is history"
I can proudly say that I have promoted him (legally) all over the world for the past 3 years+ and given his CDs and DVD as gifts to everyone I know.He is truly one of a kind, and has changed my life with his beautiful music.

Well, I registered this website today so I would like to reply this topic first.
It was a Christmas day in 2001, I was watching the tv broadcasting Russell's first concert in the US. A month later I went to buy Encore and listened. I remembered that the CD shop was playing this album. |
