This has got me all excited again for the 17th! I do hope they will broadcast this.
| Quote: | Take a trip to the movies in April 2008 as Classic FM Live brings you all the best theme tunes from the films. Played in front of a full house, Classic FM Live is a one off show that invites audiences to enjoy the kind of music played on its radio station performed live by some of he most talented orchestral musicians around.
The Orchestra of the North West and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra are the musicians behind what looks set to be a fantastic concert, as once more Classic FM Live brings the music to life. With an amazing conductor in Vasily Petrenko, a fantatis piano soloist in Lang Lang, and the new solo star Jonathan Ansell also making an appearance, you can be assured that the standard of the music will be upmost quality.
Classic movie tunes are the theme for the night, and the Classic FM Live audience will be in for a treat as well known scores are played live with real feeling and great passion. Jurassic Park, Superman, Star Wars, ET and Raiders of the Lost Ark will all have you on the edge of your seat with excitement, while Schindlers List and Night on a Bare Mountain are sure to move you to tears.
Big orchestral numbers play a major party in capturing the emotion of a film piece, and so there can surely be nothing better than hearing the film score played live by dedicated and truly talented orchestras. The Great Escape, Gone with the Wind, Gladiator and the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No.2 will all be truly evocative when played by the likes of Blake and Jonathan Ansell.
Hosted by Simon Bates the well known voice of Classic FM, the concert will take you through the movie music and introduce those well loved pieces. Celebrating the amazing talent of John Williams, Classic FM Live is not to be missed.

I'm hoping it might be broadcast on CFM Radio.
I've never seen one on tv - more's the pity - but if we could just hear the concert on radio it would be great!

I think I recall a show on cfm that was highlights from a cfm live concert -it might have been a special episode of the Guest List?
It was the cfm live where G4 sang with Ivor's choir ...
Must email and ask cfm when I get back to my own computer .. _________________ Jonathan Ansell's official forum

Not yet - but have been rather otherwise engaged this last week
We will just have to investigate but I suppose they will not broadcast live anyway?
