An angel with a very clean face indeed

With Christmas still a whole six weeks away, The Sound thought we'd treat you to an early festive treat. Sadly, we don't have ten copies of the Spice Girls' Greatest Hits to give away, but we have managed to secure the blogging talents of All Angels, the best thing to happen to classical pop since Myleene left Hear'Say.

Each of the girls there are four of them, you know will be sharing their news, views and revelations as the most wonderful time of the year draws closer. First up is the lovely Melanie Nakhla:

"Well it's been an amazing 18 months for All Angels. I feel like we've been here, there and everywhere performing at various prestigious events. Last year we released our first album and it went to number 2 in the classical charts and number 9 in the UK pop charts, which was amazing! We had no idea that it would do so well in the pop charts because it's not very often that you find classical music in the pop charts, until now.

We've been really busy these past two months promoting our 2nd album. We've performed for the royal family at least twice this year and wer were lucky enough to perform at this year's Classical Brits. where we were nominated for album of the year. We've just completed a radio tour around the country which was really fun to do as we got a little tour of some cities that we'd never been to.

We'll be turning on Christmas lights in loads of places like Sheffield and Bradford and opening the Shrewsbury Christmas fair - that one's particularly special for me as it's my home town and everyone there's been so helpful in promoting the release of our album!

Take care,

Melanie from All Angels."

All Angels meet Phillip Schofield

Those All Angels girlies get about a bit, don't they? This week they've been hob-nobbing with three of the nation's top pin-ups: Richard Fleeshman (the one from Corrie your little sister fancies), Shayne Ward (the one from The X Factor your older sister fancies) and This Morning (the one from This Morning your mum, auntie and nan fancy). As the photo below shows, when the girls met the Silver Fox himself, poor old Fern didn't get a look in.

"Hi everyone,

We've had a pretty hectic time travelling up and down the country in our fun bus doing radio, television and photo shoots. Although there's been a lot of travel, we're enjoying catching up on everyone's news, singing harmonies along with the radio and watching some funny DVDs! With Christmas coming, we turned on the lights at Bradford and then Sheffield, where we shared stages with Richard Fleeshman and Shayne Ward. They were both really friendly and complimentary of our performances.

We then met our new angel Alex (the winner of the Classic FM competition) and rehearsed for our performance of 'Pie Jesu' the next morning on BBC Breakfast News. She is lovely and our first performance together went really well! Since then we've been on Sky News and This Morning, where we performed 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and met Phillip Schofield. We also recorded out section for Friday Night Is Music Night with the BBC Concert Orchestra, which we really enjoyed! You'll be able to listen to our performance on Radio 2 in mid-January - we'll let you know the dates soon.

As I write we're on our way to Shrewsbury to open the Shrewsbury Abbey Christmas Fair! As Melanie lives in Shrewsbury, we're all going to have a night at her house and chill out together before another busy day! Our schedule is really full but we're having so much fun in the lead up to the release of Into Paradise, our second album.

Be back soon with more news!

Daisy xx"

Hey everyone,
Hope you had a fantastic start to the new year, finger's crossed this year will be even better than the last! It's been the most amazing year and we can't wait to continue performing and doing all those fun things that come with the job in 2008. We've got tons of plans for touring and more live concerts. An angel isn't just for Christmas you know! After visiting lots of cities around the UK on various radio tours in 2006/7, it'll be great to finally be able to perform full concerts in some of those places. Check out our dates below to see which one's nearest to you, and you can buy the tickets now - tickets are selling fast, so you better get them soon before they sell out!
All 4 of us are really excited about being able to keep improving our sound with every concert, so if you've seen us before, we hope that this time we'll be even better for you!
See you soon
Best wishes for the New Year
Lots of love
Daisy, Melanie, Laura and Charlotte
