Hi folks,
I've just got in from the Classic Brit awards - amazing evening, as it was last year. Again the RAH was not full - I cannot understand why!
I will do a report, but it will take a day or two - too much to say!
Relevant to artists on here - Katherine Jenkins won the album of the year award. And in addition to performances from Placido Domingo, and Kiri Te Kanawa, among others, there were also two songs from Vittorio Grigolo - and my! what a performer!!
Bed calls - sorry. I will do a write up when I have time.

I meant to add that the concert / awards was filmed and will be shown this Sunday 7th from 4.45 pm - 6.00, and next Sunday 14th from 11.10pm - 12.25. Obviously it can't be all of it, but I am sure they will show Placido Domingo and Kiri Te Kanawa - and with luck, for those fans on here, Vittorio Grigolo, was was fantastic |

I caught the show tonight - wasn't it lovely to see Placido Domingo accepting his lifetime achievment award and I was amazed when they were listing his achivements which included, 122 operas and climbing Everest! He sounded great in the duet at the end too. Hopefully all those who were watching caught a glimpse of their favourite artist and all Vittorio fans were pleased with his performance! If you go again next year xbons, we'll have to get you waving a big classicalx banner or something so you stand out and we can spot you in the crowd! |
