The Story of The Magic Flute

On Friday 23rd November, celebrate the release of Kenneth Branagh’s latest film when the British director and actor narrates the story of 'The Magic Flute'.

Accompanied by music from Branagh's take on Mozart’s opera, this exclusive show is on from 9pm - 10.30pm.

Mozart's fantastical 'The Magic Flute' tells the story of Prince Tamino who must free the evil Queen of the Night’s daughter before he may unite with his lover, Pamina.

'The Magic Flute' is performed by The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, conducted by James Conlon, and sung in English, with the libretto by Stephen Fry.

The cast includes the German bass Rene Pape as Sarastro, and Lyubov Petrova as The Queen of the Night.

Joseph Kaiser and Benjamin Jay Davis, who both starred in Baz Luhrmann’s broadway production of 'La Boheme', sing Tamino and Papageno respectively and Amy Carson, a recent Cambridge graduate, sings Pamina.

Don't miss this Classic FM exclusive on Friday 23rd November from 9pm - 10.30pm.
