Classic FM magazine are running a poll on their website to find out who the public's classical heroes are and it would be great to see some Classical X artists in there!

| Its got to be Il Divo, and in particular Urs Buhler - what a pure and lovely voice he has. I wish Il Divo would do a double album next, one cd with trad Il Divo songs and the other with arias and other opera music - that would make a great mix and give them the chance to show off their wonderful operatic abilities to the full. |

It's interesting to read who your heroes are, as it seems that for some of you, it is Classical Crossover artists that first introduced you to the classical music genre.
There are so many great classical crossover artists on here I would find it hard to choose one individual (or group). Then again if I had to pick a Classical hero I would find that just as hard with people like Beethoven, Elgar, Chopin, Mozart, Verdi,Puccini etc to choose from.
It is fun reading your nominations though - keep them coming! |
