We have a little while to wait for Jon's solo album (but we all know it will be worth waiting for!)
I thought it might be fun to hear about the tracks you think would suit Jon's voice the best.
Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Hi xcept.
There are so many - I will have to go away and come back again with a list!!!
But one that springs to mind immediately is Santa Lucia.

How about "The Fields of Athenry" new to me when I heard it on the Rugby Anthems album, would suit Jon's voice beautifully, has a haunting delightful tune, been la la - ing it since I first heard it.
How about one of Mike's songs, of Jon's choice. That would be nice.
Any of Pavarotti's operatic songs, he had a good sift through them.
I'm so excited, get gargling Jon. Will come back on this. Zirconia xx |

Back already, I forgot
"The sun ain't gonna shine any more", love it since I got the Mother's Day single, Jon's voice is sublime, absolutely perfect, definitely needs a lot more hearing, I so hope everybody loves his singing as much as we do, he has so much passion in his voice. Hugs. Zirconia xx. |

I agree with you Frostee and Marian. Whatever he sings he does a fantastic job with as he has such a wide vocal range and is such a perfectionist with his music and whatever he sings.
For me, he could even sing the phone book and I would LOVE it, that's what his voice does for me !! |

Jon could sing anything and always please me!!!
There are so many songs that I would absolutely love to hear him do though - some musical songs would be nice.
I'm sure he would do a wonderful job of "If Ever I would leave you" and "Some Enchanted Evening" - just for starters!!!
The latter I can hear in my head - all the beautiful orchestral sounds - coupled with Jon's magnificent voice - total bliss.

So many, so little time
Think Be My Love would be fantastic. Notice Katherine Jenkins has it on her latest album which is beautiful. But Jon could hit those high notes so well as everyone knows and he has such power at only 25 - imagine him in his 30s!!. Hope I'm alive!
Did send him message heading it 'Che Gelida Manina' and thought he might take it (which he did), as knew it was his favourite Pavarotti song as he mentioned and played it on CFMR - so I live in hope - absolute heavon that would be!!!
Always wanted him to sing Sonteims 'Out of My Mind' as apart from the album it would be wonderful for the stage - so dramatic and emotional and we saw and heard what he did with 'Broken Vow'
Then there are 'Recondita Armonia', E Lucevan Le Stelle, Lolita, Celestia Aida, Mattinata, Catari, Catari.................and yes Mario Lanza sang them all and Jon has the range and emotion to do them justice.
And Bring Him Home from Les Mis - so many musicals. Would still like to hear him sing Maria from West Side Story. And this is my Beloved from Kismet!!
Getting carried away here - he needs 3 albums a year!! It will be so exciting to see his own list!
