Chance to dine with Patrizio

CROONER Patrizio Buanne will be in Kuala Lumpur from Sunday to Tuesday to promote his new album Forever Begins Tonight and the hit single Un Angelo (Angels).

Fans will get the chance to have dinner with Patrizio by listening to Lite FM.

The dinner will be held at Hotel Maya in Jalan Ampang at 7.30pm on Sunday.

From 11.30am to 12.30pm on Monday, Patrizio will sing three songs at a Press conference in the hotel. At the same time on the following day, he is scheduled to visit a children’s home and give away Christmas presents.

Born in Naples, Italy 28 years ago, Patrizio is known for his honey-coated baritone voice.

Fans described him as an entertainer who combines elegance, style and manners.

Old fashioned in a modern way, Patrizio found inspiration from the music of Dean Martin, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

Growing up listening to these legends, he mastered their songs and performs them with his own style.

Patrizio first sang in public when he was 11. After winning several talent competitions, he performed for some 80,000 guests including the late Pope John Paul II in Poland in 1997.

He released his debut album The Italian in 2005. It sold a million copies worldwide and reached platinum and triple platinum in Britain and Australia respectively.

Patrizio also recorded the football anthem Stand Up (Champions Theme) that was played at the conclusion of all matches at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

The song is an orchestral remix of the original Village People song Go West made popular by the British duo Pet Shop Boys.
