[ ClassicalX ] Alfio announces more Sydney shows

In addition to his intimate performances at the Vanguard this month, Alfio has announced a further run of Sydney dates to take place in August.

The extra shows will have Alfio performing to larger audiences in the city and suburbs including The Basement, Revesby Workers Club and Fairfield RSL.

Fans will be enchanted by Alfio’s passionate and soulful voice as he sings songs from his debut album “Tranquillita”, supported by an eight-piece band featuring a string quartet.

“Tranquillita”, displays his truly beautiful songwriting prowess, and regardless of whether the lyrics are sung in Italian, English or Spanish, the universal theme is romance. Alfio couples his operatic training, love for classical music and traditional Italian folk music to produce a unique and distinct sound in the Adult Contemporary genre.

Released in April through Warner Music Australia, “Tranquillita” has enjoyed a two-month stay in the Motorola ARIA charts, and spawned the single “Il Nostro Sogno (Our Dream)' - a riveting song that Alfio wrote about unity and peace in the world.
