[ ClassicalX ] Paul Potts Brings His Story to the Big Screen with One Chance

Opera singer Paul Potts is bringing his true-to-life rags to riches story to the big screen with One Chance. According to The Hollywood Reporter, American Idol's Simon Cowell will produce the film, which is being written by The Bucket List's Justin Zackham.

The project will focus on Pott's last-ditch effort at having a music career by performing on the television show Britain's Got Talent. After a string of bad luck, he auditioned for the show in 2007. He amazed both judges and audience members alike, and went on to win the program. From their, Potts quickly became a youtube sensation and has since released an album and gone on a world tour. The film will be a comedy-drama that revolves around Potts hard luck stories up through his televised triumphs.

The film does not have a set start date at this time.
