Choirboy Andrew Swait will be performing at this year’s Classical Brit Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 8 May in a duet with Sarah Brightman.
This year's Classical Brits will include a celebration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sixtieth birthday and Andrew Swait will be taking the treble part alongside Sarah Brightman’s soprano in the Pie Jesu from Lloyd Webber’s Requiem. Brightman sung in the 1985 première of Requiem, when the treble soloist was Paul Miles-Kingston.
Classic FM will be broadcasting a live Backstage At The Classical Brits show and a week later, Thursday 15 May, the awards will be televised on ITV1.
