Renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli arrived in Taiwan Friday to a warm welcome from local fans.
Soon after his arrival, Bocelli was driven to the central city of Taichung, where he will hold his first and only concert today in Taiwan.
At a press conference held upon his arrival in Taichung City, the blind vocalist said he felt Taiwan's friendship and passion, and that he will sing in the country with his best voice ever.
Some 20,000 people, including President-elect Ma Ying-jeou and Taichung Mayor Jason Hu, are expected to attend the concert which will be held Saturday at the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium starting at 7:00 p.m.
