Andrea Bocelli, the renowned Italian opera/pop singer is due to perform in Medjugorje on Thursday, August 7 (other articles state 3rd as the date) , 2008 (the day after the end the Medjugorje Youth Festival, August 1-6).
This news was announced yesterday by the Croatian newpaper Jutanji.hr
Born with congenital glaucoma, 49-year-old Bocelli became totally blind at the age of twelve, after a football accident, but his music and singing career has produced more than 60 million album sales.
Bocelli will be in Medjugorje for two days, arriving on June 6 with his Czech musicians. The concert will be beamed live on television.
