Doncaster diva Lesley Garrett brought a touch of glamour to an awards ceremony in Sheffield.
The singer was joined by the Lord Mayor, Coun Arthur Dunworth, in handing out Duke of Edinburgh Awards at the Cutlers' Hall.
Nine young people picked up gold awards after working in the service sector for up to a year and completing an expedition.
A further 64 youngsters collected silver awards, and 72 were awarded bronze.
