Aled Jones has launched Merseyside's Marie Curie Cancer Carer's Great Daffodil Appeal.
The singer and broadcaster, who appears at the Philharmonic Hall next month, is asking Merseysiders to make a 
donation to the charity in return for a daffodil pin.
Marie Curie is hoping to raise £5.5m nationally throughout the month-long UK appeal.
Aled said: “Every donation for a daffodil will help the Marie Curie Hospice Liverpool to promote quality of life for people with terminal illnesses and provide support for their families, completely free of charge.”
Aled will join the Liverpool Welsh Choral Union to sing at a St David’s Day concert at the Philharmonic Hall on Saturday, March 1, which marks the first weekend of collections for the appeal in Merseyside.
