"It'll be fantastic, it's never been done before and I'll think it'll appeal to a wide cross-section of audience, probably from their 20s right through to 60s," tour manager Murray Hepple said yesterday.
Westenra and Dobbyn were certainly excited about their "In tune With Nature" vineyard tour, which would also take in Christchurch, Blenheim, Havelock North, Martinborough and Auckland.
"Dave and Hayley are really excited about doing the tour and performing together," Mr Hepple said.
Those concerned about yesterday's out-of-season cold southerly blast that hit Wakatipu after such a glorious hot summer could rest a little in the forecast.
MetService forecaster Mark Pascoe, of Wellington, said although today would be showery in the morning and the day would be cool and breezy, the skies should clear in the afternoon with a high predicted of 18degC.
Westenra and Dobbyn, who arrived in Queenstown last night, would be joined by violinist Fiona Pears.
The stage is set up adjacent to the Millbrook cricket ground this year, unlike previous years' Millbrook concerts.
The former stage site is now part of the construction zone for the resort's latest residential development.
Mr Hepple said there was plenty of parking available, accessed via the Malaghans Rd entrance.
Although tickets were far from sold out, with 3000 sold, Mr Hepple said as many as 5000 people were expected to flock to Millbrook tomorrow, many buying tickets at the gate.
Gates open at 2pm with the concert starting at 4pm.
Alcohol cannot be taken on to the site, but liquor and food will be sold on site.
