One woman who has been very important to us is our mother. She's our biggest fan! She's a social worker and she's really taught us to express our emotions through music.
What she has taught us has helped us with our relationships with women our whole lives. She has shown us that it's important to talk about problems and to resolve them quickly. Life's too short to bicker over the small stuff.
She also taught us to be very considerate towards women and as a result, we're both quite romantic. We've both done little things for [girlfriends], like blindfolding her and taking her for a surprise picnic in the park, or taking her on a helicopter flight with wine and a meal. Our father is very traditional and always holds the door open for our mother, or pulls out her chair for her. We've grown up thinking that that sort of behaviour is natural.
We've always been quite confident with women, because it was instilled in us from a young age. We both love women, but we both hate the mood swings! We'll never understand them, and think we've both learned to stay out of the way and not challenge them when they're grumpy.
Having said that, we do go for different types of women. Ryan got into relationships earlier than I did, and he goes for more outgoing women. I like quite deep, introverted ladies. We have quite different tastes, but neither of us likes women who are too skinny. We both like Mariah Carey and Scarlett Johansson. I'd say that we prefer curvy women.
Being identical twins, there's definitely a bond that you share, and women can find that quite intimidating.
Having said that, being identical twins can have its advantages. We're ashamed to admit that we have switched roles in the past. We'll never do it again though - it gets us into too much trouble. When we were much younger, I dated a girl for a couple of weeks. Two years later Ryan met her on a night out, but pretended to be me. She eventually sussed us and was, understandably, really mad. We'll definitely avoid that sort of thing in the future.
We've also learned that if one of us is interested in a woman, the other one has to back off. That's very important, but I don't think we've ever had an incident where a woman has liked us both. That would be a bit unfortunate, but we still wouldn't be willing to share!
We both like being in relationships, but I'm in a relationship at the moment, while Ryan is single. Having a close, loving and successful relationship with a woman can depend a lot on where you are in your own life. If the right woman comes along, then great, but you have to be happy on your own before you can be happy in a relationship.
If we could be women for the day, I think we'd like to try wearing women's clothes. You have so much more choice! Shopping as a woman must be much more fun. Plus, it would be interesting to experience how men treat women. A lot of our female friends tell us that they feel uncomfortable when men wolf-whistle at them. We tell them that they should be flattered.
