Your new album will be released later on this month, what would you say It has to offer?
Our voices have matured in the last year and this album has another great variety of tracks, with two original compositions.
Have you got a favourite song on the album?
It’s hard to pick just one track – we’d have to pick one Classical and one Pop. Our favourite Classical piece is ‘Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’ and from the pop tracks ‘Singing You Through’.
How did the four of you meet?
We met through nationwide auditions that our manager Steve Abbott organized. Since he brought us together a year and a half ago we have become great friends.
You are all quite young; did you ever think that you would be as successful as you are by this age?
No Way! We can’t believe how far we’ve got already – we hope it gets even better. We are so grateful to have been given this opportunity.
How did you get into classical singing, because classical music doesn’t seem that popular for girls of your age?
We’ve all had singing lessons for years, in which we sang mostly classical pieces because that’s what we enjoy most. We don’t think it’s the fact that Classical isn’t popular with our age group it’s just that it isn’t considered cool and that’s what we want to try and change.
You have sung live at various shows and concerts including, The Festival of Remembrance, in front of the Queen. Where have you enjoyed performing live the most?
The Royal Albert Hall, both for the Festival of Remembrance and at the Classical Brits. We also loved performing at Twickenham for the atmosphere and the sheer number of people.
Are there any well known classical singers, you admire and idolize, why?
Of course! We admire Cecilia Bartoli and Bryn Terfel because they are incredible concert performers and opera singers as well as being successful recording artists.
Have you got any shows or concerts coming up?
We are currently promoting our album ‘Into Paradise’ which is out on 26th November and in that week we have a concert in St James’, Piccadilly, London on 28th November. We also have concerts in Birmingham and Huddersfield in December and then we’ll be touring the UK in March/April in 2008. Check out our website www.allangelsofficial.com for all the latest dates.
