Hexham Abbey will once again feature in the BBC's Songs of Praise show on Sunday.
Filming took place in October for two episodes of the famous show, which visits churches around the country filming their services.
This week’s broadcast features Aled Jones, who receives a tour of Hexham from traffic warden George Lackenby, who sings with St Andrew’s Choir.
Others featured on the show include Hexham Racecourse chief executive Charles Enderby, also famous for his connections with the royal family and Mary Kohn, a great grandmother who attends Trinity Methodist Church, in Hexham.
Hymns during the service will include The King Of Love My Shepherd Is and All Creatures Of Our God and King. Hexham Abbey Boys’ choir will also be singing during the service.
Rector of Hexham, Canon Graham Usher said: “We are looking forward to the broadcast, which is looking at the lives of Tynedale people and celebrating the Christian faith here.”
The show will air at 5.30pm on BBC1 on Sunday, but for those who don’t want to watch alone, a big screen is going up in Trinity Methodist Church where everyone is welcome to go along to watch together.
Please note that Aled will also be singing "All My Trials Lord" from his CD "Reason to Believe"
