Aled Jones has launched a campaign to promote Christmas carols in Britain.
The singer has teamed up with an orchestra to create modern versions of carols such as Silent Night.
His aim is to make carols more popular with a younger audience, according to directory inquiries service 118 118 which sponsored the remix.
Jones said: "Britons should take pride in Christmas carols - they are a national treasure which all generations should hold dear.
"If we need to modernise them to capture the attention of a new generation, then adding a jazz, funk or even a beat boxing slant to them will ensure this wonderful tradition."
A poll of 1,000 people commissioned by 118 118 found 77% of them could not remember all the words of any Christmas carol.
